Integrated Systems Testing

Also known as: IST.

Testing that is conducted on a complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing and or fire system to ensure that it, its equipment, controls, components and sub components operate as per the design requirements under differing conditions including failures.

An example would be, the integrated testing of a ventilation system where the AHU needs to be integrated with the ductwork, fire dampers, motorized dampers, motorized control systems, general control systems, BMS, fire systems, humidifier, water, condensate, power, chilled water, heating water systems, etc.
